MATRIX awarded HIRE Vets Medallion Gold Award

MATRIX is pleased to announce that we have been awarded the 2023 HIRE Vets Medallion Gold Award! The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act of 2017 (HIRE Vets Act or the Act), requires the Secretary of Labor to establish a program, by rule, that recognizes employer efforts to recruit, employ, and retain veterans. Employer-applicants meeting criteria established in the rule will receive a “HIRE Vets Medallion Award.”  For each award, the employer must satisfy a set of criteria. Verification of these criteria includes a self-attestation by the applicant and a check for violations of veteran-related DOL labor laws by the U.S. Department of Labor. Over 1,650 employers have earned a HIRE Vets Medallion Award and they are highlighted at www.hirevets.gov/awardees.

MATRIX salutes our veterans and their loved ones in thanks for their service and patriotism to our country. We are honored to celebrate the brave men and women who have sacrificed to ensure our freedom and protect our way of life. MATRIX is committed to supporting our veterans and we are proud that they represent 15% of our talented workforce.

As a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), we understand the stress of transitioning to a civilian career. To help our Veteran employees through the new hire process, we have a dedicated onboarding team and a defined process to support their success.  Our motto is People. Process. Predictability.™ MATRIX employees always come first.

Military professionals excel at Project Management. Military experience and project management in the civilian sector may not use identical language, but as a Veteran owned and operated business, we know first-hand that the methodologies are the same. This means that your military experience and skillset is extremely valuable to a career in project management. Many transitioning veterans find successful and fulfilling careers in the civilian sector as project managers or project schedulers. By earning your Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI), you will create a solid bridge to walk across into civilian project management positions at MATRIX.
